Parking Sensors Question

I cannot tell when the parking sensors are on or off. Sometimes the sensors seem to work and more often than not, they don't work. I press the button and it beeps yet I don't see a dash panel display like on my 2006 GS300. Anyone have a solution?

I just checked mine out when I turn it on the the green led turns on and it makes a beep noise, when I turn it off the led turns off and there’s no beep.
