Default OEM lug nuts on steel wheel.

I own a 2009 ES 350. Can I use the OEM lug nuts on steel wheels? Thanks.

I don’t think that they will work. I had a 2009 RAV4 back in the day that came with OEM Steelies. On the steel wheels the back of the lug nuts were flat. When I upgraded to ironically ES wheels which I bought through here back in the day I bought the proper lug nuts which had the beveled lug nuts. That’s what all alloy lug nuts use because the hole on the rim isn’t flush I’m forgetting the proper term for them.

Yes, it works. I did exactly that for two winters when I had a steel wheel set for the snow tires...

I have a RAV4 as well and for RAV4 what you said is correct. I have a different set of lug nuts (without washer) for winter wheels because the washer on OEM nuts doesn't fit into holes of my winter wheels, and contour of the OEM steels wheels doesn't allow for the washer side to sit flush with wheel...

Me too. I was told the OEM lug nuts would not seat correctly on my winter steelies. Note that steel rims typically have a larger bolt hole for a more universal fit. So while the OEM lug nuts fit, they will most likely be too small for the actual bolt hole.
