Default Question about Takata airbag replacement

Hi everyone,

I have 2010 ES350, got mail from Lexus, recalled Takata airbag. Called dealer to schedule and they said it might take 2 days or more do replace it.
On the scheduled day, my car checked in at 8:34 am and done at 11:57am. Work done during that period (3hrs 30 min): replaced Takata airbag (recalled), oil and filter changed (maintenance light was on), tested and replaced battery (reason: batter failed load test). Is it enough time do all the works they stated? Is there any indicator shown that the airbag was replaced?
Thanks.

if they really wanted to do it fast they could do it in <1hr:

- oil change/filter 15min
- test / replace battery 15min
- replace air bag 15 min

so all work can be easily done in 45min, definitely under an hour. my question is what took them so long? haha

all dealers make most money on service and not on car sales.

Do you really believe that a major franchised dealer would take the chance of saying they put a new airbag in and really not do it. An accident where any airbags were deployed would mean you might own that dealership by the time a good attorney got done with them!

When making the appointment, I asked about the labor time to replace air bag, they said at least 5 hours, could not finish in 1 day so they told me 2 days. That why I just wondered 3hr 30 min was enough to do ALL the work . Some of my experiences in the past (not with this dealer): I paid for oil and filter changed, checked oil and filter before leaving dealer and found out they did not change the filter, the service adviser checked and said the technician forgot. Another case: I requested oil and filter changed, the service adviser said my car (2010 ES 350) required synthesis oil changed but the printed invoice shown: Lexus oil 5W30, then he said it is a mixed oil between regular and synthetic oil? Thanks for your advice about the air bag replacement.
