Anybody ever replace their transmission mount?

Jimmy, what mounts did you end up getting? OEM? I had the wife start the car and move between driver and reverse while I checked engine movement - it definitely is moving more than average. The front mount appears to move the most but I'm gonna change all three. Was looking at DEA or Anchor for the sides and OEM for the front - cause the front is not available from aftermarket. Where is your tire guy and how much did he charge?

So I did buy the mounts but never actually had them installed. I was planning on doing it myself but I work as a teacher and really have very, very little free time. My tire guy said it would be about 10 hours of labor but I don’t think that’s right. Got a quote from a Toyota dealer and they said about $800 just for labor but it was clear they had no idea what they were talking about. It always amazes me that Toyota struggles so much with a vehicle that is so close to the camry.
A lexus dealer actually quoted me under $800 for the part and labor so I’d imagine that is what it actually is. I bought oem mounts, both left and right, for between $100-$200 each. I did manage to replace the front mount myself and it wasn’t too bad. From what I’ve read oem is the way to go for motor mounts. Good luck!
Also the tire guy is in Maryland. Not sure why my profile says Cali. Also is there not a mobile version of this site anymore? I just lost 15 minutes of my life writing this lol.

Thanks for the prompt response. I've ordered the mounts. I raised the engine/tranny once before when I replaced the ATF filter and had to raise the engine to access two AT pan bolts. It appeared I could have raised the engine another inch and the mounts could have come out easy. I used a bottle jack with 2x4 piece of wood to raise the engine/tranny.. I removed the upper dog bone strut so as not to tear it apart. I just have to pay more attention to the firewall if I am to raise the engine higher so I don't tear anything off. Will post in couple of weeks with progress. I minus as well replace the ATF filter again; it has 55K miles on the current filter, but a new one will be good for another 100K.

I have an 08 ES 350, get a wobble feel around 40-50 mph but only during acceleration. New CV shafts, dog bone motor mount. Next replacing the lower motor and trans mount. If this don't fix the problem this car is going bye bye. Sick of dealing with it at this point. I have a 2001 Avalon with 200k that is trouble free and it actually rides smooth like an old Cadillac with 0 issues.

Other thing is the wheel balance, have you rotated the tires and does the wobble move from the steering wheel to your seat?

after reading these I was worried that it was the mount in my 08 es350. sharp turns to the left and right and it is shaky. I got a quote and will be replacing the front 2 wheel bearings. I'll report back if this resolves !

appears around 40 mph only under acceleration :/. Not sure if cv axle is the next step or something else.
