Default Brake pads , impressive

Well I bit the bullet today and replaced my OEM tires . They were the Bridgestones and just turned 35,000 miles. I guess looking at them I could have gone maybe a few thousand more miles but the edges were worn so it wasn't worth it. So back to the topic while the car was up and the wheels were removed I checked the brake pads. I was pretty impressed as they looked to have somewhere around 40% left. Both fronts and rears so I guess I can put off doing brakes for another year and maybe more.

My front pads were replaced at about 65k, rears were still fine.

They do last. I'm about to turn 90,000 miles and I'm still on the OEM brakes; front and back. I drive 85% highway miles, though.

40% remaining at 35K miles is not that impressive. I have 106K on my car now, still with the factory pads, lots of life left. I don't drive much highway miles either.
