Problem in AC , please take a look
Hi,
My friend has 2008 ES350. His car has problem in Air Conditioning System. Only sometimes not always it pushes normal air, not cooled enough as it should be. He took it to an AC service shop they checked the AC gas it is normal no leaking.
They told him there is a faulty sensor connected to the compressor.
Has any one had this problem before?!
What is the name of that sensor !!
I am not sure about it..
Thanks and Regards,

I'm surprised that the A/C repair shop didn't fix it. That is their job and specialty, isn't it? They would know where and what sensor to get. There's really nothing magical or rare with the ES350 / Camry's A/C system.
Are you just trying to do it yourself, after they gave you a cursory estimate?

Did the AC shop test the "low pressure" sensor on the compressor? If it is faulty they should have been able to ground it out which would engage the compressor clutch. If they did that and the system worked as normal then to replace it requires evacuating the freon . Also do you know how they verified the system was full and did not need a charge. Need more information.
Thank you for your reply
