I have a lot of Lexus dealers in my NYC metro areas and don't know if that would make a difference.A couple are auto groups and have Toyota dealerships and I would think they wouldn't work on a Lexus.
I rarely keep a vehicle past basic warranty so major repairs aren't an issue.Just routine maintenance which I do myself.

The only negative is that when Toyota does the work, it doesn't show up in the Lexus database. The owner must enter the info manually. Not a big deal.[/QUOTE]

Exactly correct

Agreed.

I use to take my car over to Toyota for oil changes until I began doing it on my own. I will be bringing the car back to them later in the year for 90K mileage work and a transmission flush.

We have a lot, there are 7 Lexus dealers within 50 miles here. I bet you can find a Toyota dealer that will work on it, just call one that isn't the same auto group and they'll do it.

When I received a coupon for a discounted coolant flush and refill from my Toyota dealer I brought my ES350 in for service. They didn't bat an eye and I saved a lot of money. Another bonus for me is the Toyota dealer is half an hour closer to my house.
