I have an 07 es350...The car cranked, but FAILED TO START...After taking my foot off the brake, the dash lights started to flash...I then depressed the brake pedal again, pressed the start button and the car started without a problem....No flashing lights after the car started.....WHAT IS THE CAR TELLING ME...Also, is this addressed in the owners manual...If so, where..Thanks

Is it possible that the dash lights were flashing as if the car had gone into "Accessory mode" ? ...

If you think about the days when you had a key, if you turned the car on but it didn't start, the key would essentially be in "On" mode, but the engine wasn't started - so lights on the dash would start to blink like if you just turned the key to "On" but didn't actually crank the motor.

Just speculating here, if one specific light started to flash I'd guess it were something different - but if a bunch of them started to flash, see if it does the same thing right when you start the car or if you turn the car "on" without starting the motor (you can do this by pressing the engine start button w/o pressing the brake, or press the engine start button twice quickly).

Car went to ON mode without pressing brake and no flashing lights resulted....Is it possible that the cluster of flashing lights indicated that the system check was not completed when it failed to start.........I cannot find anything in the owners manual that addresses this issue..........Thanks
