2010+ ES Chrome Bodyside Molding

Does anyone know if this is a separate component added onto bottom of the doors or is it recessed into the doors (aka the doors were redesigned for this purpose)?

And if it's addable, I wonder if anyone knows the part numbers since it is a stock component and not an accessory.

Yes, you should check with your dealer but I am quite sure the door is the same as the earlier models and the chrome trim is just a trim piece replacing the former body-colored piece. And it does give it a nice look.

yea..sewell has the piece color matched..i wouldn't mind getting a piece to add on it if it wasn't that much..it's quite expensive..esp kuz they dont have my color..moon shell mica

I think someone was discussing this on the forum within the last month or so. He found the side trim piece and the rear trunk lip molding on line. Don't know why he went on line. May have been a price issue with the dealer part. As I recall he liked the fit and paint match of the trunk lip but thought the side piece was poor quality. It required double sided tape and it was difficult to place properly. Search is your friend.

I have the carid.com one made for the 07-09 models, but i'm thinking of swapping it to the oem 10 one, i wonder if the lenght is the same as the old models so i can simply glue in with 3M tape, i know that the clips may be different so it doesn't snap on, but i'm willing to glue it on.

The reason is that i want it to be bulkier and more of a personnality than the thin plates.
