Default Auto Daylight Saving On/Off

Hello,

How do you turn on/off auto daylight saving? I tried to do that in my 2010 ES by going to the nav screen -> Clock -> Day Light Saving -> On/Off. But it seems it doesn't make any difference.

Is there more than one way to set this day light saving on/off? I think what you told me is exactly the same as I mentioned earlier in my posting, but the clock didn't get adjusted. Or may be I miss something?

I just went out to the car ('10 ES350).

Setup>Clock> make sure you are in the right TIME ZONE, and you want to turn Daylight Savings off.

remeber to SAVE the settings

That's what I did in mine after the time change and it worked.

Too bad there isn't an Auto setting for DST.

Hi EJC & Bob,

I tried it, it doesn't work for me. Since I live in california, I set the timezone to Pacific and turn Daylight Saving "off", and save. The clock still the same Could it be an issue? Mine is 2010.

bdar, when you say clock are you referring to the time of day, or the estimated time of arrival the nav gives you when you have set a Destination? The digital clock on the dash is set separately from the nav.

LexBob2, Thanks for your explanation I am talking about the digital clock on the dash, which you said set separately from the nav. This is quite interesting, because on my RX I can set this clock on the dash from the nav by following similar steps.

Based on what you told me, it sounded like we have another clock on the nav itself?

There is an hour & min reset button right on the digital clock on the dash. As I recall there is no AM or PM setting, you just set it for the time of day and your good to go.

The clock in the nav is just an internal setting for the estimated arrival time etc. shown by the nav system and not necessarily a time of day setting.

LexBob2: Got it. Thanks! Yeah, I think you're right, there is no AM or PM setting on the clock (on the dashboard).

Regardless, I wonder why Lexus doesn't make the DayLight saving on/off available from Nav like in RX. Is that because ES considered to be an entry level luxury? It's quite paradoxical because I don't think that's quite true, especially in the ultra luxury package.
