Need your opinion on tinting
Hello,
Do you guys tint your back windshield even though you have rear sun-shade? Will it look ugly though if we just tint the back passenger windows? Give me some opinion, guys. Thanks.

tint all 4 sides and rear window. tint the 2 front ones lighter and the 3 rear ones (including rear window) darker to give it a nice fade. i did mine at the Lexus dealer for approx $200cdn. Sometimes I even put the rear sun shade up to make it look even darker for the rear window but you can barely see anything with that.

i say do the same % all around. Not a fan of different tint levels. Now if your state's limit is 35% or something then I would go darker in the back, but here in Oklahoma its 20% allll around

I have a Obsidian 2010 just tinted the window to the legal 35% all around and I have the sunshade but you dont have to use it. I do in fact like the sunshade for when the kids are in the backseat to give that little extra darkness and it works well. You cannot tell when its up or down from outside the vehicle.

Where does Lexus get these alternative color terms? But anyway, go with a light smoke with a reflective exterior coat. I do not the exact term for it. But its lighter about 40% but is reflective on the outer coating to cut out some UV.

You visit lexus website, they mentioned it there. I think in the past, they called it cashmere instead of parchment color.
Regarding the "reflective coat" you're talking about...is that the silverish look from outside?

From some angles it will reflect but the depth of the reflection deepens on the color of the tint. I have seen it in bluish grey, tan, and smoke. I went with the smoke on my mustang. I may post some pics of the window later. I thought about going with the tan on the Lexus.
