Default ES vs. LS vs. GS Chassis/Body

The ES is built on a Camry chassis. What is The LS built on? Is it on it's own chassis? Or is it a stretched ES? What about the GS, does it come from another chassis?

Why is the ES built on a Camry chassis? Why isn't it the Camry is built on the ES chassis?

I'm pretty sure the three are not shared chassis. The LS and GS both RWD, but I believe based on WB alone, the two should be somewhat different.

LS and GS are on their own chassis. The SC also is on its own chassis. I think that's correct.

LS has it's own chassis.

The GS chassis is a flexible platform that underpins the IS, the Crown and the Mark II. I believe the last gen GS underpins the SC.

The new SC is built on the 2nd gen. GS chassis. Or, at least, the suspension components front and rear are the same.

While the ES is built using the Camry Chassis note that all ES sedans are still assembled in Japan. Contrarily the Acura TL uses the Accord chassis and is built alongside the Accord in the same Ohio factory.

A key hint is the ES is FWD and the GS is RWD....

LFA-own platform
LS-own platform
LX-shares with Land Cruiser
GX-shares with Prado/4-runner
SC-spun off 2GS platform
GS-platform that spun off IS/Crown/Mark
RX and ES-share with Camry/Venza/Highlander/Avalon
HS-shares with Avensis (Europe)
CT-shares with Prius/Avensis (Europe)

No model/year ES/LS door is interchangeable.
