When I did an installation on a Friend's RX350, I was able to get the entire thing behind the head-unit. It took some time, but it all fit. The only visible part was the exterior XM antenna.

i have the ML radio on my car, but along with the wires behind, i don't think i can squeeze it in. One option that require alot of work would be mounting it under the big whole radio/nav unit, but it necessitate to remove that unit out.

Mine installed behind the glove box. I can access it in couple of minutes without taking car dash apart.

Do you have some play with the cord in that location since i often remove the radio/nav unit for some work. How did place the unit on: velcro or screws.

i took a look on the bottom of the glove compartment, it seems the plastic trim covering it, do you have to remove it to access to your location ?

Yes, you have to remove plastic trim to access this location. I have around 6" of cable to play with in my location. I did use heavy duty industrial velcro for mounting.

And you have enough lenght for the usb wire to go to the center armrest box ? if so, that is where i'm going to mount the module.
