Disappointed with 2008 Nav System
Since acquiring a new ES350 in May 2008, have been very disappointed with the Nav System.
For example, from the very beginning
I can not enter some street names as the keyboard fades out the next letter in the name.
Also, it will not recognize certain street names and cities that have been around for a few years.
When I drive on certain streets (not brand-new) it shows me driving on a white screen.
The dealer has been of no significant help "You can buy a newer disc for $xxx". If the mapping system is so far behind, I question if that investment will really help.
This is not what I expected from Lexus.

I find that entering the phone number is the easiest way to use the nav. system. So far I haven't come across a street that it doesn't have . This has been my experiance in the NY , NJ , PA., CT and VT areas.
