Default Electric Current on Center Console

Well, this is very odd. It has been going on for about two weeks now. When I rest my right arm on the center console, it causes the hair on my arm to raise. It feels like some kind of low voltage current. I am not getting any kind of shock, and I don't think it is static because it is only in that spot and has continued for two weeks.

Any ideas? Maybe some kind of short? All electronics work fine. I guess I should take the car in to the dealer?

If it ain't one thing, its another with this car.

Any chance the rear vents are tilted up or blocked by something deflecting air at the back of your arm. I have had that happen with people in the rear seat but not really the sensation you are getting - Just a thought.

Great thought, but it is something electric. It is very similar to the feeling of static electricity, but only on the leather top of the console on my right arm. Nothing else. It just happened to me again this morning.

Is your seat heater or ventilation turned on - Maybe current from there??

Checked, it is off. Strangest thing.

Drove my wife's truck today, it also has a leather console cover to rest your arm on....no issues.

Md...,

Do you notice any bright light immediately preceding this phenomena, or do you lose any time on your watch or car clock each time, or any dreams of people with really large eyes and small mouths lately or since you first noticed this?

If not it is a strange phenomena......LOL as if the above would not be strange.

I thought I might have had your answer. Let us know what it is when you get it tracked down.

Do you have anything plugged into the power tap on the bottom of the center console, like a cellphone charger?

Nope, checked that too. I think there is a ground problem somewhere.

Bob, LOL, the watch is fine.
