New Owner
I'm the new owner of an 2007 ES350 as of 4 days ago (demo w/2k miles). I've been reading through the forum for the past several weeks and just joined tonight. I'm getting used to the car and love it.
Day 1: I like the car but what's with the footwell lights that won't go out? It reminds me of a leaky faucet.....the light just kinda drips out when it's supposed to be off.
Day2: I really like this car and I'm getting used to those crazy footwell lights
Day 3: I love this car and the footwell lights are growing on me.
Day 4 (today): This is one of the best cars I've driven and the footwell lights are one of my favorite features.
I look forward to being a part of the forum. Happy motoring.

Welcome to ClubLexus and congrats on the new ES!!!
I like the footwell lights on Lexus vehicles, IMO they are a sign of a thoughtful interior touch. In other vehicles I'm a bit annoyed now when it's dark and I can't see my feet.
However, on some new Lexus models, probably including the ES, if the instrument panel lighting is adjusted to max low, it adjusts the NAVI screen brightness mode and turns off the footwell lights.
