HELP: Is this price too much?
I am looking at the 2008 ES350 with premium plus package. MSRP $42,122 and invoice $36,917. I negotiated down to $38,000 plus a free upgrade tint (costs about $250). I am located in Houston (not sure if that helps). Please help!!! Thanks!!!

Thanks. I didn't see a thread on how much people pay for the 2008 ES350. That would help me figuring out. I would hate to buy it and then find out I paid too much!

Looks like you got about an 11% discount. Not bad. I just picked mine up Friday. MSRP was $38,502 including accessories and destination. I paid $34,333. (about 10.8% less than MSRP) Be sure that they don't add anything else on to the bill when you finalize everything. Sometimes they add things like TDA (advertising) and other such charges.
When they turn you over to the person who sells window etching, alarms, extended warranties and such, don't buy anything. That's how they make extra $$$. Don't be a sucker - just say no (thanks) If you feel that you want the extended warranty, offer them less than they quote. They finally discounted mine by $300. I still have not decided if I want it or not.
Let us know how you make out.
Good luck with your new car. I love mine.

Thanks for the advise!! When we were there the other day they did offer the upgrade tint for like $250 to $330 (forgot what it is). I asked them to give it to me for free with the $38000 offer. Still waiting for the dude to call me back cuz he needs to discuss with his manager. We will see.
And no I don't buy all that other stuff -- I cut coupons for my groceries...imagine that!

Of course there are still coupons in the paper! Sunday paper! You can get really good deals if you combine the preferred card and coupons at times. I also read threads like fatwallet and slickdeals.

I have the premium plus with navigation system and optional accessories. I matched the MSRP on Lexus.com with both Nada and KBB and they both came up with exactly $36,917 invoice with all the options I chose.
Anyway we didn't reach an agreement and they can't find the car combo I want. Apparently there are only 4 ruby/black interior with premium plus in the North America region, and the one they were planning on getting for me was sold in Dallas this morning. Oh well I will continue to drive my Acura for a bit longer, I guess.

What do you have in yours and how much did you pay for yours? I would think if you special order there is not much room to negotiate, right?
