Window issue
This made me think of side window rain deflectors. I had those, along with moonroof deflectors on my previous '98 Altima SE (of course it looked good cause it was a black car with tinted windows
). Well, those side window deflectors were from Weathertech, and they do not get taped to outside but rather precision-machined with a sharp wedge-edge to go inside of your window opening. I wonder if using something like this will help ES with its side window noise?

You misspelled it. Its FUG LY
I never said it will look good. I just brought it up as a possible solution to a side window noise. BTW, its really hard to see in the picture below (I have seen similar ones on TLs), but here is an external decorative side visor

Also, roof spoilers are cool

I too had the same piece misaligned. I took the car back to the dealership and we walked the lot and found 3 others with the exact same problem. After trying to fix it, they had to order a new piece of trim. It was installed and looks OK now. The problem seemed to be that the fastener on the original piece was defective (at least that's what I was told).

Alien,
I believe it is not good when only as a result of a customer request, a dealer then notices he has several on the lot with misaligned doors. Early on in this thread, you will notice another dealer walked out and saw 2 that way on his lot, different state. Here in my area, yet another state, every one I saw was off ecept my current one which happened to have side mouldings.
From manufacture, to port side prep, to dealer, nobody who should care, is paid to care, gives a nickel how the end product looks. It is a customer paying good money who has to bring it to their attention, or in the case of actual doors being off, no care over function as to wind noise or sound intrusion.
Thanks guys.
I 'm getting the car in 10 days. The wind deflector was just a precaution in case there would be noise with the roof open. I agree the car looks better without it. Since there are no problems out there, I phoned the dealer and ask not to install it. He will refund me since it was part of the negotiated price.
