Default HID Lights only with UL package?

Is it true that with the 350, unless you special order, the HID lights come only on the UL package?

With the previous ES, the HID lights were offered in a package just a step above the base package (in California at least).

We have them on our PP package, unless they've changed since the first release.

if you do the $875 HID with AFS option, which dealers load the car with on their allocation normally, they do come with it but you do have to pay the option price

At the dealer I went to, the ES350's with the base package did not have the HID lights. The salesman said I had to get the UL package to get the HIDs, but judging from the responses here, it shouldn't been too hard to find a base ES350 with the HID lights.

I am thinking of replacing the high beam beige color bulbs (#9005) with Hoen Xenon Match bulbs. I have them in my Lincoln LS and the color of the light is very close to the HID. This way , they will match the white light of the low beam HID. But you will need the heavy duty wiring harnesses as the bulbs will melt the factory harness (from experience).

LS4lexus, when you say base ES350, is it the premium package or premium plus package? Most PP+ cars came with the HID already. Not sure on PP.

HID lights ES350. It really depends from the REGION that you have your ES350 build out. If you are in the East Coast, chances are you will start from Premium Package but West Coast will start at Premium Plus Package. Keep this in mind, not all Lexus are build equal because Lexus Corporate is more to please to build a car for East Coast such as a White exterior color with Black interior or Breakwater Blue with Black interior.
In East Coast you can do what they called (BOSS CHANGE) for the RX350 build out means that the dealer can go into the Canadian build plan to change any combination that they want but Lexus will not allow West Coast dealerships to do that for the Japan plan that build the RX350 and RX400h.

Our car is a PP+ "Plus Additional Options", and has HID. The Additional Options piece, included the HID headlights. It was purchased in IL.

nope. the base level es350 in the southern area is a PM car with no HL option, you have to step up to the PT HL car for the HID lights
