Hi,

I just got my ES this week. Checking out the trunk I found a big molded plastic box around the spare total holds tools. Each tool in it's little molded form.

To the left of the spare is an empty spot, rectangle, 6"x3" maybe, that is empty.

Does something go there? Am I missing something.

lol - I haven't even looked under my trunk floor mat yet. My salesperson did show me what was in there during delivery, but I haven't looked since then. I'll try to look on the weekend and report back.

 

I have a similar rectangle in my 02 tool tray.
I think it is a little bigger than 6X3 because it holds three road safety flares perfectly. I figured that is what it was intended to hold.

The only reason I looked under the mat was to make sure the spare was there. With my luck I'd get a flat and not have a spare.

I picked up the car late in the evening. About a half hour before closing time. So there wasn't much time to for the delivery gal to go through the whole run down.

But I'm really liking it so far.
