Question Remote Battery keeps dying

Hi,

I have a 08 ES 350, the car runs and drive perfectly but the remote of the car batteries keep dying after 4-5 uses. Has someone encountered similar issue and if yes, what is the remediation? Hope to hear from folks on the forum.

Do you only have one remote? Or do both of them exhibit this problem? The remote probably needs to be replaced after 16 years. Call some locksmiths to find one that can program a new remote for your vehicle. Some have the required software. You need to do this before this one dies and leaves you stranded if it is your only remote.

I have 3 remotes and all the 3 exhibit the same issue.

FYI - If stored in the car or very near it, the car's constant search signal is known to use up the fob battery as it's forced to respond.

You could store them in a Faraday box to stop the signals:
