Default Battery Troubles

Hi all, first time poster here. Looking to resolve a recurring problem in my 09 es350. Parasitic drain has been plaguing my car for months now. As of today, the central issue has finally been discovered. 7.5A fuse in engine fuse compartment 20 - AM2 - is the cause. I have replaced the battery, alternator, and starter since purchasing the car just over a year ago. I have no diagrams to work off, but I know the AM2 fuse is the problem as amp meter falls from .28 to .07 after pulling the fuse. Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

AM2 should be fuse number 21. It is related to the starting system. Please disconnect the starter and check if the drain is active.

Default Battery trouble

I have 2013-ES350. Replaced battery on May 6, 2023 but last week July 20 the battery was dead. Had to use mechanical key to open door. Got a jump start went to the place I had purchased the new battery. They checked and said the battery is fine. So far I am able to start the car every day without any problem but worried that the battery may die again? Not sure what to do. I have purchased a portable jump starter just in case. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You should measure the drain with the doors locked.

Thanks for your recommendation. I checked the voltage drain with all power off, doors closed, in all fuses. The only fuse that showed any voltage was #44. It’s a 10amp ECU-B NO.1 The meter read 2.7 mV. I had to use 200mV range because it didn’t show any reading in 20 V range.
I do not have Power trunk opener, also no electric tilt and telescoping steering column.

You should measure the drain, in Ampers.

Hi, I checked all fuses for battery drain using mA setting. All fuses showed Zero reading. To make sure I was doing it right I opened the driver door and sure I saw a reading of 0.6mA in the corresponding fuse. So for now I will assume that there is no parasitic drain and wait to see if battery dies again. I will update this forum for anything new regarding this subject. Thanks for your help. Really appreciate it.

Did you check all the fuses inside and under the hood?

Hi, just wanted to update on my battery issue.
I took the car at a “Battery shop” for check up. They told me that the Alternater is not charging the battery properly and should be replaced. I replaced it and it’s almost two months the car is running fine and there has been no issues with the battery.
