Default Timing cover leak

The car now being 10+ years old means these oil seepages are coming up and are more common. My tech caught this common seep on my 09/160k ES (never missed a 5k OIC) this past weekend. I bluntly asked if my car is still a candidate for 225-250k miles to which he said yes. This is a flaw affecting even perfectly maintained cars unfortunately. Same thing with lifter noise or cold piston noise. Characteristic of design and likely within normal tolerances.

After some deep dives it seems there are three things we can do.
1: Have a mechanic or yourself make sure all the bolts are tight in the area. Some users here report simply that one single bolt not being fully turned/torqued can cause the seep, and turning it completely can solve it.
2: Then have the mechanic apply some RTV "glue" to seal the area where the robots didn't seal, followed with a sealant spray.
3: check your oil level once a week. If you begin to see droplets/drips, then consider checking more frequently and if necessary topping off oil

All things considered this should not become catastrophic if you continue a regular oil change interval. I might go to 3.5-4k instead of 5k conventional now that I know I'm dealing with a compromised seal, or 3 oil changes per year at my driving rate.

I had an oil leak from my timing cover and tried ATP AT-205 Re-Seal Stops Leaks with great success. I left it only for 1000 miles and then changed the oil again. So far no leaks.
