Hello I've been having a serious issue I bought my es300 in January and it stopped working properly in February for starters my alarm would randomly go off and originally my key fob had black tape all over it minus the blade so I had no access to any of my fob buttons but all it took for the alarm to stop was for me to unlock my car and it was done but not anymore. There have been similar times when I would have little bugs like my alarm would randomly go off while I'm chilling parked in the car , and I wouldn't be able to open the doors from the inside or out another time I couldn't do anything with the windows luckily I already had them rolled down and this effect wore off after about 3 hours and my car was back to normal. But one day I went to the car unlocked the door walked away and remembered something else I needed so I went back unlocked it again grabbed the item closed it locked it up again my girlfriend calls me and tells me she needs something out of the car and if can grab it for her so I did I unlocked it and locked it up for the 3rd and final time after this every time I went to my car there was nothing I could do to disarm the alarm unlocking the door with my key wasn't working anymore and none of my switches inside unlock the doors or roll down the windows while or even after the alarm goes off. My car will start I can drive and my ac works but besides that I can't get my alarm to stop I was even an idiot and tried removing the horn relay just to make the noise stop but it didn't work. I have no idea what to do and it's been a very long time since I've actually been able to enjoy my car I really love it and would hate to get rid of it or have it taken from me. I went to that just answer mechanic website thing with the "specialists" but they were no help either I got a bunch of different answers and I took a bunch of pictures of the wiring under the kick panel and was told nothing looks suspicious or out of place if you have any ideas or answers please help. Also I forgot to mention I have now untaped the key and when I press a button on the fob it just flashes red but I can't program it I guess because the alarm is tripping or maybe there could be something wrong with it as a whole I'm not sure but I am more than open to all suggestions

Random thoughts, have you tried replacing the FOB battery? Also if the FOB casing is messed up it can be replaced for cheap as long as the electronics are okay. Think I recall someone here having flaky problems they ended up replacing the security module.

 

I haven't replaced anything with the key. The casing looks like it was glued back together or something
