Default Spark plug wire sets

Hello clublexus! I just got a 2003 es. My first Lexus and it just clocked 120k. I want to do a full tune up. When looking at spark plug wire sets on autozone and advanced they show 3 wires per set. So they make you by 2 sets? Thanks

If you car is a 2003 there is no spark plug wire set, you have an ignition coil for each spark plug. These are only replaced if they go bad there is no set time to replace them.

Although it doesn’t apply to your car, earlier 1MZ-FE cars had three coils and three spark plug wires in a wasted spark configuration. So if you had an earlier car and needed the wires, the three wire set would have been all you needed.

Hello! This being my first Lexus. Are there any other things that you would recommend replacing at the 120k mark? I am the 3rd owner and the Carfax shows the car was dealer maintained up until around 80k. I just made an appointment to have the transmission fluid and filter changed at my local Toyota dealer because they were running an end of summer service sale. Thanks for any and all help.

I wouldn't do it. They will likely try to upsell you on other services/maintenance and "find" things wrong.
