I wonder if the spare tire sensor is even registered with the car. I would replace the 4 you drive on and see what happens. You can always do the spare later,.
yes, its registered, when tire pressure in it gets low I get a signal.
Supposedly sensors use less power when tire is not rotating, so spare tire tpms battery should last longer
Is Denso made in Japan? OEM are japan made.
Your OE Toyota does not look like mine. Are you sure its original sensor that came with Es350?
I think there are slight variations for Toyota and Lexus.
Yeah Denso sensor says ‘Country of Origin: Japan’ on its box. From what I read on Pacific’s website, they appear to be the original equipment manufacturer for Lexus. I’m not 100% certain if my OE Toyota sensor is original for my car but from what I know, it should be. The previous owner only replaced two sensors and this was the 3rd one. I believe the replacements were all Autel.
You can use any aftermarket sensor as long as it is the same frequency . What needs to be done is you need to reprogram the TPMS module with the new serial number on the sensor and also the location on the car. Lexus was different and more of a PITA as it wasn't just a drive away and they would reset like other mfg. did. I replaced with Autel because they were inexpensive . The only thing you need to watch out for is the date of mfg. of the sensor. Being their life expectancy is around 7 years there are a lot of sellers who are getting rid of their 3 and 4 year old sensors . Almost all tire shops have sensors available and can reprogram the module.
I should add that Lexus had revisions on this part, and part numbers changed in the past. This is the latest part per dealer and also online lexus dealer parts websites.
