Default Battery

Purchased a ‘99 Lexus es300 from a private dealer. Recently the battery died and we replaced the battery but, now none of the dashboard is lit except the door open and seat belt lights. The gear switch will not move from park, all of the radio and ac won’t work, the windows won’t roll down, and doors will not unlock on their own. HELP!

Hello,

Did you check all the fuses under the hood and in the interior? Here is a fuse diagram for your car.

What exactly is powered, and what is not? If you turn the key, and there is no reaction from the car, it may be a faulty ignition switch.
The next step would be to check if you have power coming to the fuse box under the hood. If not, check your fusible link. If that is not it, check the wiring that goes through the firewall.

P.S. You should be able to switch gears by pressing the button in the top-left corner, under the cover.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
