Side Door Rust
Hi,
I drive a 2004 Lexus ES 330 with about 106K miles - I live in Seattle and put about 20 miles on the car per week.
About two years ago, I scratched the side door leaving a parking garage. Overall, I am not worried about the cosmetics of the car, so I didn't have it repainted.
However, I now notice rust developing where the scratches are the worst. Do you have any recommendations on what to do?
I see the options as:
1) Do nothing because it isn't a big deal
2) Go get it repaired because the rust will spread, and it is worth fixing
On option 2, is there like a spray I can just keep reapplying to prevent the rust from spreading? I'm not concerned about the aesthetics, so if there is a low cost way to prevent rust spreading, I'd appreciate it!
I look forward to hearing your recommendations.

The simplest and least expensive way.
You can remove the rust by rubbing it with WD40, and than apply some clear nail polish to the scratches.
Than wax the fender.
a picture of the rusting area would be helpful
