Default 2013 Lexus es350

I have the chance to buy a 2013 es350 for around $15,500. It has 86,000 miles on it and that number makes me nervous. Is this a smart buy in your giys' opinion? Thanks!

It sounds like a pretty high number for a 2013, but more information would be required to make a fair evaluation. Which model is it, base, base + Premium, luxury or ultra luxury? Which audio system? Blind spot monitoring? Nav? As to the mileage number that shouldn't be cause for too much concern if you can verify that routine maintenance has been performed.

If you have the VIN, you can log into https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrive.../vehicle-specs and see if they have performed the routine maintenance at a Toyota/Lexus dealer. If nothing shows, it means that work wasn't performed at a Toyota or Lexus dealership, so you have no way to verify the routine maintenance. Of course, you can also check Carfax for accidents, but you have to take that with a huge grain of salt as not everything gets reported. Nothing should replace a good visual inspection and possibly an independent mechanic's inspection given the mileage. Bottom line, it sounds like the price is probably high but more information is needed.
