Hello friends of ClubLexus! I have a 1999 Lexus es300. I love my old Hooptie. However, the leather on my steering wheel is starting to go. So I picked up a very nice wooden steering wheel at my local u-pull-it junk yard. Only, the wheel I got has black leather. I was going to have it professionally restocked. But everyone I call charges $300+! OUCH. So I am going to do it myself. I’m confident in my abilities to see two little pieces of leather. My issue, is I cannot for the life of me find any leather that is the same as my steering wheel/airbag now! Ive been to all the leather shops in my town to no avail.I want it to look clean.Does anyone know the exact color Lexus used for my steering wheel? Thank you in advanced!

 

Look into SEM Classic Coat.

 

That’s funny you say that. I was actually watching a YouTube video where a guy used SEM on his es300. Same color interior as mine. Except he used a darker brown (cordovan brown). The finish turned out pretty good, but the color was way off. Looked terrible ha. I’ll check the website out. Thanks for the advice Lexus2000!
