customizable settings that you cant change on your own ?
so i know there are some settings that only the dealer can change unless you have that carissa app thing that i once had and used on my 07 to change settings.
on the 2016 what are all the setting that can be changed that we dont have access to change on our own though tthe navigation screen ?
like im trying to figure out if its worth it to me to pay and get the carissa app again or go to the dealership and ask my guy there if he will go through the settings with me or if its not even worth it to do it
what settings can be customized that you cant normally do on your own through the vehicle ?
If you check the owner’s manual (the main one, not the “Quick” one) for the “Multi-information display” there is a chart listing all of the customizable features and for which dash (Nav, non-Nav, etc) that you can change or for which the dealer (and presumably yourself with the appropriate programming tool) must change. The chart is about 10 pages long for my ‘14. I don’t have the manual for yours but the manuals are available free in electronic form on the internet from Lexus.
also can someone tell me what this bottom option on this picture is the one with the person sitting down and the arrow poiiting in the persons direction on the climate control option in this picture
and the windhsiled one that is not for front defrost that is for the front deicer option correct ?
You can get your manual from lexus.com. The customizable features chart starts at page 555.
The wiper deicer is the third item down; the fourth is for a pollen filter (micro dust).
is the pollen filter the ac airfileter interoro cabin filter same thing ?
so you ahve to turn that on for it to work ? im confused now i thought the filter was there to use all the time or are you talking about something else ?
i apreciate your time explaining this im download the manual now
Sorry, can’t help there. I have nav and this is controlled through the Climate Control screen which I don’t go to that often. Near as I can figure out it just forces the system into recirc mode for a few minutes. If I hit a heap of dusty air I just manually select recirc...which I try to never use because of that odour problem people get when they use it all the time. Much easier for me to do that than mess around with the nav menu. Wish Lexus did not default to recirc every time you turn the car on!
I have mine set to just unlock the driver's door as a safety feature when I'm alone. When someone else is with me, a I just do the "door handle grab" on a Rear door, which unlocks all 4 doors.
yeah i dont like that it defualts to recirc every time also its anoying
I turned the “Auto” button off but left AC turned on in the nav display. I then set the air to Outside. Found out that a) air stays sourced from Outside (does not default to recirc) and b) AC operates when needed according to the setpoint.
PS: must have been the external temperature thing: it's warmer to day and it did default to recirculate in spite of having "Auto" turned off. Sorry if I sent anyone on a wild goose chase. Back to button pushing at every startup I guess...sigh. Silly Lexus.

I never thought of that.. Thanks!
I'm going to change my setting tomorrow. Too many people have complained of the door lock actuators going out.
