Issues after water pump replacement 2000 ES300
Hey all. Just had a mechanic (he works on all cars has done work on all my family’s Toyotas and Lexus over the past few years all 94-2003) recently he replaces my water pump after it blew, along with tensioner and timing belt. All the fun stuff. I noticed that the ride was a bit rough, especially at low RPM, some instances of hesitation/little to no response on rpms when I was accelerating. Popped the hood and turned the engine on, a little rough start after turning over, but was fairly smooth when in park.Neutral same story. When I put it into drive (with a friend having their foot on the brake) the entire engine started vibrating pretty strongly. Once the RPMs are up to 2,000-3,000 it smooths out. Any thoughts about what this could be? At first I thought maybe the timing belt was off, but not sure what this could mean. There was no sign of this kind of rough ride prior to the water pump replacement and even after it blew, I turned the engine on for a few seconds to be able to move the car after it had been towed, prior to water pump replacement, and their was no engine vibration like described above.
