Pull o the right on acceleration
Hi everyone. This is the first thread I have started on here. My searches did not find anything, but if this has been discussed, please point me to the correct tread.
I love my 2015 Lexus. I bought it used about a month ago. The issues I have are minor, but worth exploring. I have 65K miles on it.
1) My thread title describes a pulling to the right when I accelerate hard. Not a huge pull, just something I feel in the steering wheel. I have owned 3 Toyota Solaras in the past all with the 3.0 liter V6. I always loved the engine and transmission on these cars. I love this one even more, but I am thinking it is the extra power in this Lexus that I am not used to so I just wanted to hear from other owners if this is normal. Being front wheel drive I guess this maybe expected.
2) Rain detector fell off the windshield. luckily I am still on the dealer 6K warranty so not at my expense to get the whole windshield replaced to fix this.
3) Passenger front strut has gone bad also under warranty.
Anyone else experience these things? Normal for this mileage car? A bad strut at 60K is concerning to me especially in a car of this quality.
Thanks for your responses,
Earl

Welcome to that ES life!
1. I would think that if it is only under hard acceleration it would be torque steer.
2. Lucky lol
3. Not common. May be an issue with how the previous owner drove the car.
Enjoy your new car. I have 130k miles on mine and have had only very minor issues.

How many miles are on the tires? How long have they been in their current position on the car?
Try rotating the tires. If one or two tires are newer than the others and one front tire is fractionally
more worn, and thus a bit small in diameter, than the other you might get some pull. Subaru goes
to some extreme in recommending replacing All Four Tires if one fails because it affects the AWD
system to have one turning less than the others.
