The ES is mainly driven by old people as a daily driver while they have their weekend corvette in the garage. There's no aftermarket support because there's no market.
What do you consider older people? I find that the RX has a much older base than ES.

The RX is mainly driven by women taking their kids to school here in NY. Have not seen too many males driving a RX,

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the RX also lacks aftermasket support as does the ES. Minus the universal suv things like step boards, guard rails, cargo liner, roof racks, etc. i don't see any performance upgrades for RX, or even styling upgrades other than the utility ones.

In Colorado, seems like mostly retired woman driving the RX with some obvious exceptions. I drove one as a loaner and I thought it was pretty nice. For ES's, I see mostly people in their 40 and 50's driving them. I guess that kind of says why there is no performance mods for it....

Added chrome window pillar covers. I have body side moldings but am hesitant to put them on. I love the looks without them but, if you haven't already noticed, someone was 'kind' enough to open their door on the front passenger door 3 days after purchasing it. I don't know how many more dings I can stand before I lose my mind! What is wrong with people these days??

What a beautiful car Rafadog!
Please don't spend any more money on mods for this car until you call a PDR and have that door fixed!
PDR is Paintless Dent Repair and they could easily fix that.

Thanks, Red! Yeah, my brother owns a body shop and that will indeed be my next move. There are a couple on the drivers side as well that should be easy enough to pop out. I've watched the PDR guy work. Truly amazing to see the finished panel with zero signs of a dent or work to remove it

Well I am about to turn 40 and daily drive my ES. My wife took the kids to school this morning in her RX. Dang, we are the stereotype owners. hahahaahahaha

"1993 Mazda RX-7 Vintage Red V8 Powered", perhaps not completely...

What motor and what did the conversion require?

you would be the perfect person to ask this question:

would you spend the same amount of money spent on the rx-7 (aftermarket parts only) in your current ES? why or why not? This will most likely answer why there are not a lot of aftermarket parts available for ES

Well, the RX-7 has a GM LS3 engine and a modern T-56 Magnum Transmission. It required a lot of modification, pretty much every mechanical part on the car has been replaced.

As far as would I, the problem with the ES is two main things. 1. It is front wheel drive so you are really limited in how useful any extra power you would give the car would be, you are also going against the basic design/purpose of the car in trying to make it faster, imo. 2. The 6th gen ES just isn't "special". Just like people don't lust over the 5th gen over the 6th gen, and people don't lust for the 6th gen over the 7th gen. Every new generation will be better than the old one in almost every way (maybe I could see wanting a 1st gen in perfect stock condition). This is not to say the 6th gen ES is not a really great car, I would not have purchased one if it wasn't. Plus I have spent a stupid amount of money on the FD, lol.

I think those are actually just the 2013-2015 OEM 17" ES300H rims.
