Center vent removal
Hello all. Let me start by saying that I am older and not too savvy at this internet stuff. I did search to find out about getting the radio out of a 93 ES 300. Everything states that you only need to pry out the center vent. I am doing this for a friend and don't want to break anything since this car is spotless. I tried but that thing just won't surrender. I tried to pry at the sides, then the top. After a lot if discussion with myself, I tried to sneak up on it from the bottom...I am defeated!. Any thoughts? The original radio has had the CD changer in the trunk removed and the head unit has no power I am told. Any advice will be helpful and thanks in advance.
This clublexus thread says you may be wrong about that.
