Default 3rd Gen Strut Assembly Replacement

Hello,
I have a 3rd gen 2003 Lexus es300 that I am changing the strut assembly on that is equipped with AVS. I have not been able to find any assemblies with the AVC on Rock Auto and was wondering if it is possible to change to the normal style without AVS without tripping any errors on the dash such as traction control etc.
If anyone has any insight on this please let me know, Thanks!

You can swap in the non active struts without any issues. Every component is the same TEMS or no except the strut itself so you can reuse all the other components assuming they are good. The sway bar links can be difficult or impossible to remove without destroying them so plan on buying those new. Consider getting struts online from a Lexus dealer replacements like KYB will not duplicate the nice ride of the factory units.

BTW you have a 4th generation ES not 3rd.

My mistake got the generations mixed up. Thank you for the help, and the advice on which to choose!

Keep in mind, the factory/OE units are KYB.

The aftermarket KYB units are the same quality, just valved *slightly* stiffer - ostensibly to compensate for wear in other components.

Most of us find the cost difference between dealer price for OE KYB vs. KYB aftermarket purchased elsewhere to be a substantial factor. Also, after the initial 5 to10k miles, the aftermarket units break-in and you are very hard pressed to tell the difference. It sounds that if you are not wanting to pay the price for the ride-height replacement units, you are not completely cost-indifferent.
