Default Curious??

My 98 ES300 is pushing 260,000 miles. No rot or rust, runs great! Is this normal? I just bought the car, from the 2nd owner and she stated she never had any major issues. Yet, I just recently replaced the alternator and battery. I paid $400 . Should I keep with it and expect another 50,000 miles as I’ve seen posted ?

If you like it then keep driving it! i would definitely go thru the mechanics, oil, plugs, check timing belt, trans fluid & plugs. Change what needs to be changed and keep driving it, You could get another 100K+ out of it as long as you do the maintenance or fix items when they break which keeps the car nice to drive. Especially for $400 bucks, I would drive it until it dies as long as it's decent...

$400.. basically free for what you're describing as a near immaculate vehicle.
