Default Steering Wheel memory personalized settings 2013

I don't like when hit the power button and the steering wheel moves. I figured out how to disable the seat from moving. Is it possible to disable the steering wheel too?

It is one of the personalized settings in the "dealer only" category. If you don't want to pay the dealer to change it, you can buy a Bluetooth OBDII connector and buy a Carista subscription, which will allow you to change that setting and other "dealer only" settings yourself.

Got it Les.. Thanks!

Autoaway/Return function.

While I was in there I turned on Windows and Sunroof Open with a Long Press "Unlock" of the FOB and disabled the Seatbelt Buzzer for Driver and Front Passenger.

If your ES has Navigation and you went to Menu/Setup/Vehicle Customization/Other
your choices were Full/Partial/None. Full is wheel and seat, Partial is just wheel and
None is...well...none.

Yes I do have Navigation but that wasn't the case for me. I did try Partial and that changed the seat from moving back fully when it was set to Full. Then I changed to to None and the seat stops moving all together. All of the settings available Full/Partial/None had no bearing on the Steering Wheel.

To summarize; Full the seat moves a lot, Partial the seat moves but not as much, None the seat stays in it's position (no movement at all).

That is not the way it works with my 2017 ES. With the "partial" setting, both the steering wheel and seat still move, but the seat just does not move as far as with the "full" setting. None of the setting options seem to have any effect on the steering wheel movement. I just double checked it this morning to confirm that that is the case.

That is how mine works, too.

The good news is,, I was able to stop the steering wheel movement with Techstream at no cost.

Yes but you need a cable to connect to the OBD2 Port. Use your favorite search engine, an internet search will get you where you need to go.

You may be able to use Carista and their OBD II adapter. https://caristaapp.com/

I think Carista is a smart phone app. I'm not gonna pay a fee for that every year. I have Torque for my phone (another App with a one time fee) but if I want to change something, I prefer to use my laptop and use what Toyota/Lexus techs are using.

Yes smartphone only and you pay either a one time fee for a month of usage or a yearly fee. I guess you will need another alternative. Good luck and report back what you end up doing.

I have an iPhone so it is easy and I was one of the lucky ones that bought Carista it first came out so I paid once and no subscription needed to keep it working.
