Brake Issues
What's up Lexus fam? I need a little advice.
I replaced the brakes and rotors on my 2008 ES350 with some aftermarket parts from 1A Auto. I have had nothing but bad luck ever since. The rotors were warped right out of the box. When I pressed the brake pedal I felt a pulsation. They honored the warranty and sent new rotors. I installed them and now it brakes smoothly. However, then I started hearing a terrible grinding noise when coming to a stop. Almost sounded like metal on metal although clearly not the case since they were new pads. They honored the warranty again and sent new pads. I installed them but within 100 miles I hear the noise again. I appreciate them working with me and honoring the warranty but I've given up on these cheap pads. The entire set was only $115 so I guess you get what you pay for. I want to go back with OEM parts but I have a few questions:
1. Does anyone know what the difference is between part numbers 04465-33471 and 04465-06100? As far as I can tell it looks like 33471 has one groove in it and 06100 has two.

2. Do the pads come with the springs that hold them in? I only see springs in the picture of the 6100 pads.
3. Can I use aftermarket rotors with OEM pads or should I just start over completely?

I believe Akebono provides Toyota's OEM brake pads. Ours has O'Reilly's Select ceramics and they are smooth and quiet; plus, they are lifetime warranty during my ownership of the car. I had Wagner rotors; when they went bad, after 70K miles, I had the OEM rotors resurfaced and returned them to service, with the O'Reilly pads. OEM pads and aftermarket rotors will work also.

After having done brakes 2-3 times on the ES, I've learnt that going with OEM parts for ES is the best way to go for performance and longevity...
