if there is anyone out there that has had a flat and changed it yourself, please inform me whee the notch in the jack fits the owners manual is not very clear. (2015 es). thanks in advance

 

Run your hand underneath the car behind the front wheel and in front of the back wheel about 5 inch deep from the side of the car you will feel 2 prominent depressions, you shouldn't miss them. This is where the car jack fits. Also it is about 7-8 inches from the frame of the car behind the front wheel and 8-9 inches from the frame of the car in front of the back wheel.

 

two quick ques, is there a plastic covering of the holes? also am i correct in that the jack doesnt go on the "frame"?

There is no plastic covering. If you are feeling any plastic part this is not it. You should feel solid metal. This is on the chassis of the car not the frame. As I mentioned in the previous post it is about 5 inch deep from the side of the car underneath.

 

I tried to find photo of ES 350 but couldn't find one. This is for ES 300, But this shows the 2 depressions where the jack fits. hope this helps

 

This is the same in all cars. Look for the two notches in the weld seam. The jack jaw goes between the notches and the welded seam goes in the jack jaw.

I have used the jack and keep a piece of cardboard with the jack, that I put between the jack and the bottom of the car. I do this to protect the paint. Don't want the paint to come off there and rust to start.
