Default Odd steering issue

2005 ES330 with 200,000 km. Within the last day or so I have noticed an odd issue with the steering on my car. The steering seems somewhat stiff, even once the car is warmed up.
Plus, when I turn a corner, the car doesn't return to the straight ahead position by itself. I have to literally turn the wheel.
I had the p.s. hoses replaced a few weeks ago and the system appears to have been flushed at the same tip. I've had steering racks go before on other cars, but never this type of feel. Any thoughts?"

People have suggested spraying the u-joint as it tends to seize up

I was fully prepared to take the car into my Lexus dealer and drop 600.00 for a new power steering pump. But first I thought I would try burping the system. Thinking that perhaps some air was left in there when the hoses were replaced a few weeks before.
Well, that was it! Runs beautifully once again.
