Headlights
Im sure you guys have noticed this and have a quick answer, but Ive had my car since July and didnt notice this until 30 minutes ago.. I have a 2016 ES 350...When starting the car in the garage, and lights on auto, the lights came on and appeared to raise as if the lights were aimed down then raised when engine started...Whats up??

Self leveling to make sure they won't blind oncoming cars if you have the trunk loaded down etc. Most vehicles with HID's have this feature.

It's a self-leveling feature I've seen in other cars. However, on my 2013, I haven't noticed that it does this. Is this new for 2016?

I believe it is only for the HID headlights on the 2013 to 2015 models.

Yes, I have HID, but I don't recall ever seeing mine "self adjust" when I turn on the vehicle.

Mine is 2016 bi-led and it definitely adjusts on start. Can't speak to the 13-15's.

Lexus did away with the self leveling and AFS on the ES with the 2013. My 2010 ES had it, when I shopped for a 2013 it was gone. Glad to see its back.

Yeah. Def a slick look to watch them do the adjusting thing.
What is bi LED? Does that mean low and high beam LED?

My 2013 ES and 2015 ES both have HID lights and I have seen both level when I start the vehicle. It is clear to see against me garage door.

Are both of yours UL models? I know yours is jollick...I recall something about the UL having auto leveling but the other cars didn't?

Mine is a Luxury model, and, when I start the car and turn on the lights in the garage, I can clearly see the lights leveling on the back wall of the garage.

Maybe what I'm remembering is that it just didn't have AFS vs the previous car...
