Default bluetooth priority

how does one set the priority when multiple phones are set up with the es?

i have both my wife's phone and my phone set up for bluetooth in my es300h but it seems to connect to hers even though my bluetooth is enabled also... how do i set it up so that it connects to mine when both are in range?

no issues when only one phone is in range...

thanks.

I thought the priority went to the last phone connected - so if your wife drove the car and then the next time you were the driver it would still connect with her phone if she was in the car. You might have to experiment with this a bit. My son's Denali has at least 4 phones pared and it too appears to connect to the last phone used when starting up, which leads to a fair amount of arguing among his children. I think it automatically pared the phones at some point because I don't know of a reason to have the kids phones connected. They could just turn off Bluetooth on their phones and save their batteries but need it for wireless headphones etc..

Good question. I have also found this a bit odd.
I wonder if the phone can be tied to which key is being used to drive the car. I have never experimented with this as far as the phone. However I do know that the memorized seat settings can be set to automatically link to which key is being used. I wonder if the same can be done for bluetooth?

I know that on my wife's acura, this can be done. It is pretty sophisticated in identifying "Driver 1" and "Driver 2" based on which key is being used - linking that to seat position and which memorized bluetooth and other settings are used. But not sure if Lexus ES has this delineation?

I did just confirm that my owner's manual says (page 320) that the system automatically connects with the most recent phone that was connected.
