Default Es 2013 or 2016

Hello

I am currently car shopping, lexus has always been my childhood favorite car. I found a 2013 with 43k miles the otd price w/o extended warranty 26740. Its blk with luxury package. Carfax show it was a personal lease. I am little leary of purchasing it w/o warranty. Any thoughts?? is a good deal..the advertising price was 26500. Then i noticed the 2016 in here in maryland for 35000 which i was thinking may be lower soon as the 17s are coming soon. For some reason florida has them vase model for 34000k. In my head i envision being able to get it otd for 30000..with 4k down lower interest rate..and tada same monthly payment for a 2013...i dunno to be honest as a female i feel kinda vulnerable when i trying to negotiate the prices..any suggestions are welcomed.

Personally I wouldn't even consider a 2013 compared to a 2016, IMHO the 2016 is a huge improvement over the pre-refresh car.

The 2013 is going to be a lot cheaper, but if I'm already going used I would get something higher up in the chain thats a little bit older.

To start out your negotiation check out www.truecar.com, option one up the way you like and get some quotes on it locally. I'm local to you, and I can give you some contacts at a couple dealerships that won't take advantage of you if you like...

Thanks for you input. I have budget constraints as to why i was thinking 13 model..i really love the grill of es. I wonder if i wait for the 17 if i will i be able to get the 16 at the imagined price aforementioned. Truecar has it priced as great price. Ugh decisions..decisions. I suppose to purchase this morning

The important thing is not to rush. When you're rushed you make bad decisions.

The ES is a high volume seller, you traditionally don't have leftover models at the end of the model year like you do say the GS or LS, which reduces the level of discount you get. Around here I've found that as you get to the end of the model year (August) ES's in stock become harder to find in all the package levels and colors, etc...

Right now IMHO is when you will find the best combination of available cars and prices.

Submit requests through TrueCar on something optioned like you like and take it from there. The dealers will contact you with locked in pricing, all the rebates available are shown on there, etc.

Ok thanks your insight is very helpful. I will wait a little longer. I am in love with the 16. Do you have dealers information who purchase from the dealer auction?

You mean purchase used ones? I don't, I'm a new car buyer myself.
