I had teh same problem but chose to do it the cheap way using a vent mount for my phone ($4 on Amazon), and a Bluetooth car kit (SoundBot 360, $15 on Amazon).
This way you get nav/audio/music controls/etc. and can maintain original integrity of the electronics in the car. You can wire it up pretty clean too. Just osmething to consider, may save you a lotta $
I looked at a bluetooth adapter; phone connects to the bluetooth adapter which connects to the car aux input. Not too happy with the setup since there are wires involved, phone connects to the car directly; no phone integration etc.
I am considering a 2-DIN player from JVC on Crutchfield. Here is a comparison of 4 of their models. You will find similar options with Kenwood & Pioneer also.
If you are not looking for DIY, you should be able to find similar units in Best Buy or Car Toys; I did not find a Car Toys store in your area but I'm sure there are specialist stores there.
