98 es300 power door locks all unlock but do not lock,i here a clicking noise uner dash,remote fob does not work as well battery good,is there a relay i should replace?

 

Are any of the doors open, or is the dash/dome light on indicating a malfunctioning door switch? If any door is open it won't lock but will unlock.

 

hi thanks for your reply back, and no doors are open if i have my driver door open and key in the ignition i can here the lock switch trying to lock if i close the door and pull key out no sound when trying to lock and with key in the key fob can be heard trying but nothing happens does the whole system need resetting? i have unhooked the battery and no difference
