Default 1997 ES300 key programming???

I am looking on how to program my new OEM Lexus key for my 1997 ES300 to operate the power locks and trunk. Can anyone help or have instructions?
Thank you......

Welcome to CL
and here you go(not written by me)

Sit in the driver's seat and lock all the doors.

Unlock and open the driver's door.

Insert the key into the ignition and remove it (don't turn it...just remove it).

Using the MANUAL lock switch on the driver's door, lock and unlock the door 5 times.

Close the door.

Open the door.

Lock and unlock the driver's door 5 times (I'm almost certain you use the MANUAL lock switch again, but if this sequence fails to work, try again with the power switch).

Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.

Remove the key.

The driver's door will now lock and unlock itself one time.

Press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob for at least 1 second.

Close the driver's door.

Open the driver's door.

Press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob for at least one second.

Close the driver's door.

Press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob. The door will lock.

Press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob again. The door will unlock.

You should be all set.

I tried it both ways (power lock switch and manual) still doesn't work. Any more ideas? Still starts the car, just doesn't lock or unlock the doors or trunk.

Default thank u thank u

Worked like a charm.. Took me like 100 try but this method does indeed work... Shut all doors Lock em,then manual(the little thing by the handle not the power button)unlock the driver door and open it then put key in and then pull it out, then from the unlocked manual(remember this part) unlocked flip it locked and unlocked 5 times then close and reopen then repeat the lock unlock sequence again, then put key in turn it to on and wait a sec or 4 then pull it out and wait for it to lock and unlock on its own then hit lock on your keyfob shut the door and open it and press lock then close door and hit lock again on keyfob and babam... Thanks again.. That's how I did it

Works for me: '97, ES-300.

Towards the end, when you press/hold the key fob lock button, there is always a response from the car. Usually lock+unlock. The last key fob lock with the door open responds with a double lock+unlock.

Sorry for brining old thread back - is there any way to program non-fob key like that? My central locking does not work at all and I have only 1 manual key...

@DixonPai Thank you so much! I followed your steps exactly, except (as a later commenter suggested) at the stage when you turn the ignition key to 'ON', I left it at 'ON' for 4 seconds before turning it off and removing it. It absolutely worked for me in my Lexus ES300 1997. Thank you again.
