Our brand-new ES 350 seems to hesitate before it starts moving when leaving from a complete stop, like from a stop sign. Does this seem right and normal? It's hard for us to tell as this is a first experience with a ES 350. Thanks for a much. Ned

Is it in Eco mode? Have you test driven another ES to compare?

I should have mentioned, this happens in all three driving modes. Thanks for replies. Ned

Yeah I think it's normal, just like a slight pause before moving? I really noticed it when I first got my ES, but am pretty used to it by now.

I don't think it's normal as mine doesn't do it but if the car is brand-new it may take it a little while longer for the transmission to adjust to your driving habits. I'd give it just a little more time and if no change let your dealer know about it. Just my 2 cents.

2,200 miles on my 2015 and I have never experienced the issue, it just gets up and goes.

Do you have CEL on? sounds like a vacuum leak, I would take it to the dealer and have them run a health check with TIS to see if any DTC come back.
