Nice pics. System looks great. I really like the head unit. That is what I want if I can't get an in-dash. You like it so far, the overall system itself? You planing to upgrade your mids & highs?

Default Thoughts etc.

I'm very happy with the system so far.
Lots of bass, (I need Dynamat) and the mids and highs are pretty good too. I upgraded my speakers all around- Boston components up front and Boston 6x9's in the back. All I need now is a 4 chan. Amp to clear up the sounds, bass is slightly overpowering and drownding out the mids and highs. Other than that I love it, Head Unit looks great and i'm very happy with how the Metra Kit looks. I hated the kit and it's funky texture and color so I sanded all of the texture off and painted it. Matches well enough for no one to notice the kit itself, I guess the flashy head has something to do with that too.

Looks nice, you did a great job on the Metra kit, from the pics it looks like a real nice match. Do you mind sharing what kind of paint you used?

Default Paint

The Paint I used on the Metra kit is available only at Pep Boys. It's made by a company called "plasti-kote" and the color is a generic trim black, #637. It's mat and matches pretty well. I used about 15 light coats to get the smoothest coat possible and wet sanded at the end.

Thanks alot for the info., I'll have to check that out if I keep my current configuration.

Instead of Dynamat, check out www.raamaudio.com for Raammat, it's comparable to Dynamat Xtreme at much cheaper prices. The mark-up on Dynamat products is unbelievable. I've used Raammat in my last two cars and have been very pleased.
