I know I'll probably get a ton of hate on here like i usually do when i post. But I'm looking to modify my 2004 lexus es330. I would like to start with exhaust. Im looking for a system that doesn't sound too trashy. something with a nice sporty rumble to it. Also i know the car isn't made to be sporty but if someone could tell me what i could do to the engine that would up the HP or anything like that, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

There isn't much performance to be had from the 3.3L through modifications. One thing you can look into is a throttle controller to make the drive-by-wire accelerator more responsive.

Speedkar9 is right; he knows his stuff. Toyota really tweaked this engine to get the most out of it by the last few model years. That's why they went to a whole new engine in 2006. The VVT-i, the pcu, etc., all had really gotten better over the years but it was at an end after a decade of development on the same platform. Don't waste a lot of money chasing mouse milk-promising advertised mods.

ToyotaNation is a great site for more info on the platform. I use it, too. And I frequent it often; the 5th/6th gen Camry forum there is the crossover platform/forum. But even there, you are not going to find a ton of cost-effective info and it's mostly maintenance, etc.

Suspension is a place you can firm things up if that interests you.

Same applies to cars.
